Connoisseurs' Collection - Luxury Holiday Accommodation

The Connoisseurs' Collection contains some of the National Trust for Scotland's most prestigious luxury self-catering properties. Finely furnished and sleeping up to 18 people, they are located in some of the most spectacular areas of Scotland, perfect for house parties and family get-togethers.  All properties within this range can be booked for short breaks (minimum of 3 nights) or for full weeks.

We can recommend local caterers if required, as well as sporting and sightseeing activities in the area. These properties can be let either together or separately.

Stay in a Castle

How often have you visited a National Trust for Scotland property and wished you could stay for longer? We are delighted to offer a number of apartments within some of the Trust's beautifully preserved castles or cosy country cottages within the grounds. Steeped in history, these properties provide the perfect base for a family holiday.

Lighthouse Accommodation

The National Trust for Scotland has been working in partnership with The Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB), who own these properties. The properties are all ex-lighthouse keepers' homes. Letting them as self-catering accommodation not only gives guests the opportunity to stay in these extraordinary, remote and exciting locations, but provides an income for the NLB and the Trust, both charities. Recent additions to our portfolio include two properties at Covesea near Lossiemouth and a further two properties on the Mull of Galloway.

Coastline and Islands

These self-catering properties are located within close proximity to some of Scotland's most beautiful beaches and coastline. Accommodation is available in Skye, Banff, Kyle of Lochalsh, Torridon, Inveraray, Rockcliffe and the Isle of Canna. We would especially recommend these properties to families with young children who are looking for affordable accommodation.

Base Camps

The National Trust for Scotland offers economical and basic accommodation for larger groups at five of our properties. The base camps are ideally located for activities such as hill walking and other outdoor pursuits. We regret it is not possible to check availability of our base camps online, please contact the Holidays Department for latest availability on 0844 493 2108 or email holidays@nts.org.uk.
